Puig Tower T2

Plaça Europa is located along the Gran Vía in L’Hospitalet and has become a consolidated district that serves as one of the main economic drivers of the Barcelona metropolitan area. The masterplan is based on the creation of a campus through the urbanization of streets, green spaces, and mixed-use buildings that stand as architectural landmarks. The ensemble has become a true gateway to the city.

Architecture + Interior Design, 2020 – 2023

Puig Tower T2 rises as a 21-story glazed volume that breaks away from the stereotypes of high-rise buildings, decomposing into four cubes that bring dynamism to the tower while creating a series of terraces from which to enjoy the views of this unique setting.

The project strengthens the business fabric of Plaça Europa by completing the last office tower of the masterplan, and it integrates into the urban ensemble through a compositional dialogue with Puig Tower T1.

The recessed planes contrast with the glass of the main façade through the use of a darker glazing typology which, together with the horizontal metal bands, emphasizes the impression of volumes in equilibrium.

The rear façade is conceived as a slender aluminium volume housing the vertical circulation core and common services, leaving the glazed front entirely open and transparent. Both façade typologies are unified through the arrangement of vertical aluminium fins that provide continuity to the overall design.

The floor plan layout is based on a strategy of optimizing the core, set back towards the rear façade in order to achieve larger, more flexible office spaces, as well as panoramic views from every point in the workplace.

Inside, the building comprises three basement levels for parking use, a ground floor that resolves the main access and incorporates a multipurpose space, and 20 office floors above.
